Pan-European industrial real estate investment manager Boreal IM has announced three promotions, reflecting the strength of its asset management and finance capabilities. William Preece and Neehar Pattni have been promoted to Principal from Vice President within the Asset Management team, and Corina Mihaila has been promoted to Associate, Finance.
Preece leads asset management for Boreal’s UK and German portfolio, which has assets totalling 490,000 sqm. He joined Boreal in 2023 and brings 13 years of experience, having previously held roles at Canmoor, CBRE and JLL.
Pattni joined Boreal in 2022 following seven years at Blackstone. He supports asset management across the whole of Boreal’s €2bn portfolio, with a particular focus on analytics. He has nearly 20 years of industry experience, including prior roles at IPD/MSCI, Invesco and Starwood.
Mihaila joined Boreal from Michelin in January 2022 and supports the firm’s financial management function.
Boreal’s asset management strategy is focused on long-term, sustainable value creation, supported by fully integrated in-house investment, asset management, development and operational expertise across the investment lifecycle. ESG principles are embedded at every stage to future-proof assets and drive sustainability-linked value enhancement.
The promotions follow a sustained period of growth for the business, which continues to expand its logistics footprint across leading European markets through a joint venture with Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. The portfolio now totals 1.5 million sqm, with assets located in Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain, France and the Netherlands.
Peter Bingel, Chief Financial Officer of Boreal IM, said: “We are pleased to recognise Neehar, Will and Corina for their significant contributions to the business. Their promotions demonstrate our long-term commitment to building Boreal through the development and progression of our internal talent, in addition to highly selective recruitment.
“We have deliberately invested in an experienced, multi-disciplinary and multi-lingual team, helping us to capitalise upon the complexity and opportunity of the European markets in which we operate. We see this is a key performance driver and one which gives us a competitive edge.”
