Boreal IM, now 24 employees strong, continues to develop its formidable talent pool through strategic hires and growth from within. Etienne de David Beauregard has been recruited as Vice President to strengthen its asset management team in France. In addition, the company has made a series of promotions, recognising certain individuals for their performance, experience and contribution to Boreal.
De David Beauregard has joined the industrial specialist from the French private equity firm Andera Partners after two years in its energy transition team. He brings over a decade of real estate investment and asset management experience, which has included roles at Hammerson, Tikehau Capital and Hines, where he supported its value-add and core logistics strategy in France.
De David Beauregard will lead asset management for the firm’s 388,000 sqm French portfolio. The portfolio assets are located in key logistics submarkets such as Paris, Lyon, Nantes and Lille, where Boreal is undertaking sustainability-focussed capex programmes and has plans to develop new warehouses as part of its value creation strategy. He will join Principal Xavier Aubrun in Boreal’s Paris office.
Will Hughes, who joined from Europa Capital as Boreal's first hire upon the founding of the business in 2022, has been promoted from Principal to Managing Director.
Humphrey Harding has been promoted from Associate to Vice President in the investment team. Harding joined from Henderson Park, also at the founding of the business.
Emma Waterhouse, who joined from Blackrock in 2022, rises from Associate to Vice President in the asset management team.
Leo Garbetta Celletti has been promoted from Analyst to Associate, where he will work across the investment and asset management teams. Celletti joined from Kryalos SGR in 2022.
Rebecca Blaxland Ferre, who joined from CBRE in 2023, has been promoted from Analyst to Associate, also working across both investment and asset management teams.
Louis-Simon Ferland, CEO at Boreal, said: “Across multiple market cycles I have learnt that the relationship between people and investment performance cannot be understated, which is why Boreal is so focussed on solidifying and growing a team that is highly diverse, pan-European, and with deep expertise across a range of disciplines and markets. This is part of our competitive edge.
“As we scale up the business and assemble a leading European logistics portfolio, leveraging our collective knowledge, track records and networks at all levels of the business will play an integral role in our success.”
Etienne de David Beauregard, Vice President at Boreal, said: “Boreal has established a strong presence in the French logistics market, following high-quality acquisitions where further value can be unlocked through proactive asset management. The opportunity to work for a growing business that is both entrepreneurial and institutional in equal measure was an attractive proposition for me, and I look forward to applying my experience in logistics and sustainability to help maximise value in the France portfolio and more widely.”
